Work Experience
A brief selection of my work history
Research Casting International
My current position is Research and Development Scientist, where I work on finding alternatives for petroleum-based plastics and materials commonly used in museum exhibits. Some of these include chitosan, mycelium, and even 3D-printing.
Arizona State University
During my time as a Research Associate, I worked on several different projects, including kombucha and cancer. The overall theme of these diverse areas was understanding how cooperation and conflict can grow and break down over time.
University of New Brunswick
After completing my Master's Degree, I worked in Aurora Nedelcu's lab exploring the in vitro evolution of cancer cell clusters.
Free University of Amsterdam
During my Master's Degree, I also worked part-time in Toby Kiers' lab as a Research Assistant. In addition to working on mycorrhizal fungi and plant symbiosis, I also developed a game based on her work with symbiosis in mycorhizal fungi and plants (Mycocosm).
University of Minnesota
After completing my Bachelor's Degree, I worked as a Research Assistant in Ford Denisons's lab exploring the legume-rhizobia root symbiosis.
